President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appealed for “a significant acceleration” in the delivery of Western weapons as Ukraine attempts to stem Russian advances. Laced with urgency, his request comes at a time when Russian troops have recorded a number of successes across several sectors of the front.

After months of delay, a sweeping foreign aid package easily passed the U.S. Congress late on Tuesday, clearing the way for billions of dollars in fresh Ukraine funding amid advances from Russia’s invasion force and Kyiv’s shortages of military supplies.
