Poland has a strong presence in the Canadian economic market; there is enormous potential for Polish business there, said President Andrzej Duda, who is currently visiting the North American country.

On Monday in Edmonton, the president participated in a Polish-Canadian seminar on renewable energy. As he stated, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the hydrogen convention.

“I am very pleased that Poland is strongly represented here. We are the fifth in the world and the third in the EU in hydrogen production. We have proper representation: companies, startups, and universities specializing in the production and use of hydrogen as the fuel of the future for various purposes,” emphasized Andrzej Duda.

The President pointed out that Poland has a strong presence in the Canadian economic market. As he said, the country’s two largest representatives in Canada are KGHM and PKN Orlen, although many more Polish companies are investing there.

“Polish investments in Canada are larger than Canadian investments in Poland. This not only shows the scale of our interest in Canada on the one hand but also the enormous potential that lies in Canada on the other,” said Duda. On Monday, the Polish President will meet with the authorities of the province of Alberta.
