A new mural created with air-purifying paints that absorb pollutants like smog and exhaust emissions and convert them into harmless substances has been unveiled in the western Polish city of Poznań.

Statistics released by the European Clean Air Centre (ECAC) show that at least 25,000 Poles are alive due to improvements in air quality made between 2018 and 2022.

New findings released by Poland’s Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (GIOS) show that air quality around the country has significantly improved in comparison to previous years.

A new deal between the EU governments and the Parliament has been struck that sets stricter 2030 limits and target values for several of the pollutants with a severe impact on human health.
