America’s top diplomat has described the conflict in Ukraine as a “proxy war” between Washington and Moscow that “needs to come to an end.”

Europe will join Ukraine war talks ‘sooner or later,’ said Radosław Sikorski.

Both Kyiv and Europe will be involved if talks about a peace deal in Ukraine advance further, the United States’ foreign policy chief has said, partially contradicting earlier comments by Donald Trump’s envoy to the conflict zone.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has suspended most U.S. foreign aid for 90 days, but will continue to provide military support for Ukraine, with Washington considering using frozen Russian assets to procure American weapons for Kyiv.

The call occurred while Sikorski was attending the World Economic Forum.
