Cities in Poland and the Czech Republic are seeing record numbers of bats taking over public places.

Scientists and hunters in Poland have called for invading raccoons from Germany to be shot and warn that the animals' numbers are increasing.

A Russian missile attack killed at least 13 residents and damaged buildings and municipal infrastructure in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv on Wednesday, local officials said.
