Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine sees over 431,550 dead Russian soldiers: UAF

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has said that the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine has taken a huge toll on Russia, costing the country 431,550 soldiers in Ukraine since Moscow began invading on February 24, 2022.

As many as 810 casualties suffered by the aggressive Russian military over the last 24 hours are also included in the latest report, the officials stated on Monday.
The report, cited by kyivindependent.com, adds that the aggressor has also incurred losses in the form of 6,809 tanks, 13,014 armored fighting vehicles, 14,141 vehicles and fuel tanks, 10,668 artillery systems, 1,017 multiple launch rocket systems, 720 air defense systems, 347 airplanes, 325 helicopters, 8308 drones, 26 ships and boats, and one submarine.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Monday that it had downed 17 of the 22 Shahed-type drones that Russia launched overnight.

Ukrainian forces intercepted aircraft over Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, and Rivne oblasts.

According to reports, overall, 35 Russian drones targeting Ukraine were shot down by the Ukrainian military overnight on March 17.

Five S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles on Kharkiv Oblast, in addition to two Kh-59 guided missiles on Sumy Oblast, were also launched by the Russian military, but Ukraine didn’t comment on the result of the missile launches.
