‘The smell of burned flesh around the clock’: Survivor Leon Weintraub remembers Auschwitz

“Suffering. Hunger. Cold. But first of all, the terrible smell of the smoke. The smell of burned flesh around the clock”—this is how Leon Weintraub, an Auschwitz survivor, remembers the Nazi German concentration camp.

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camp, TVP World spoke to a number of survivors.
