For the first time in history, the Polish national team has qualified for the UEFA Women’s European Championship.
The Poles defeated Austria 1-0 in Vienna on Tuesday, with the decisive goal scored by Ewa Pajor in a tightly contested match that had stood at 0-0 at halftime.
The victory follows a 1-0 win in the first leg, played in the Polish city of Gdańsk.
The draw for the Euro 2025 final groups will be held on December 16 in Lausanne. The European championship will feature 16 teams, and will be played from July 2 to 27 in Switzerland.
