The World Bank has raised its GDP growth estimate for Poland to 3.2% for this year, 3.7% for 2025, and 3.4% for 2026, according to a report published on Thursday by the World Bank.

The GDP growth estimate for Poland for this year has been raised by 0.2 percentage points compared to the Bank’s April forecasts.

“For 2025, the Bank estimates Poland’s annual GDP growth at 3.7%, 0.3 percentage points more than in the forecasts published in the spring,” the World Bank reported.

Meanwhile, the forecast for 2026 is 0.2 percentage points higher than in June.
The bank said rising real income, significant increases in public sector wages and social benefits are supporting a dynamic rebound in household consumption.

The World Bank estimates that GDP will rise by almost 5% this year, after falling in 2023. Growth will also be supported, especially in 2025-2026, by record-high military spending and the use of previously frozen EU funds.

World Bank economists expect net exports to contribute negatively to Poland's economic growth in 2024, with imports driven by strong domestic demand and weak exports to the European Union.

A gradual improvement in net exports is anticipated starting in 2025.
