Poland’s Minister of Digitization has met with the U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade to discuss collaboration in digitization, cybersecurity, and AI.

Krzysztof Gawkowski met with Marisa Lago and U.S. Department of Commerce representatives in Warsaw.

Their talks concerned technology investments, regulatory convergence, cybersecurity, and cooperation in AI development, the Polish digitization ministry reported.

“The meeting with representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce was extremely fruitful and represented another step in our efforts to deepen technological cooperation between Poland and the United States,” the ministry wrote on Thursday.

Gawkowski announced plans for a visit to the U.S. to “further enhance close and productive Polish-US cooperation in areas related to digitization.”

The ministry said that the value of the U.S. investments in Poland at the end of 2021 was $26.1 billion, the highest among non-EU countries.
