Dönever kill my vibe: Kebabs 40% of Poles ‘#1’ takeaway choice

In Poland, as five million kebabs get gorged on daily and as €580 million worth of kebabs is sold in a year, kebab enthusiasts have reasons to fear that “kebab-flation” from neighboring Germany may soon catch up.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been grilled for the rising prices of kebabs in his country. Germany consumes up to 1.3 billion kebabs annually and sells kebabs worth €7 billion.

Germany’s Left Party (in German: Die Linke) has been pushing for a €4 billion package to subsidize the cost of the meal that is among the most popular dishes in the country.
