Poland’s central bank NBP anticipates 3-4% GDP growth this year

Poland’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) may increase 3-4% this year, a Polish central bank (NBP) board member has reported.

Artur Soboń presented the forecast for 2024 at an NBP press conference on Tuesday.

“We are in a situation where we are around the inflation target, where all the forecasts of the NBP proved correct,” he said.

“We are in a situation where the Polish economy has a chance this year to grow by 3-4% of GDP,” he added.

Soboń attributed the success to “the mutual responsibility and independence” of the NBP and the government policies which foster “achieving the economic miracle.”
