Despite the “very visible deep division” concerning the war in Ukraine among the Visegrad countries—Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary—different political groups will collaborate more strongly and unitedly, according to Maja Wawrzyk, Deputy Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund, in an exclusive interview for TVP World. She adds that currently, in Europe, there is no issue more important than the war in Poland’s eastern neighbor.
The Fund, a donor organization established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad members, focuses on “people-to-people contact,” Wawrzyk said.
“We can see that the mutual understanding between the four nations is important,” she added. Despite the differences due to the ongoing war, the four foreign ministers have agreed that the fund is a great achievement and collaboration, Wawrzyk said.
