Chess: Polish teenager junior FIDE Under-16 world champion

Jakub Seemann, a teenage chess player from Poland has become the Under-16 FIDE Open World Youth Champion. He scored 9,5/11, gained 24.1 rating points and had a performance rating of 2602.

The talented chess player of the Szach Mat Zabrze club (southern Poland), has become the under 16 world champion (being just 15 himself), thus confirming the great disposition of recent weeks.

In September, he earned the championship of the Old Continent in the Open U16 category that he won in the Romanian city of Mamaia. The second place then went to the Spaniard Diego Macias Pino, and the third was Jachym Nemec from the Czech Republic.

Jakub Seemann belongs to GM Marcin Krzyżanowski - Elite Chess Team.
