Ukraine’s prosecutor general said on Tuesday that Kyiv suspected a senior Russian air force commander of ordering a missile strike on a children's hospital in central Kyiv in July that killed two people and caused extensive damage.

Russian missiles hit a children’s hospital in Kyiv on Monday in a wave of attacks on Ukrainian cities that left at least 31 people dead and dozens wounded.

It was the fourth large-scale Russian aerial assault targeting the power system since March 22.

The Polish and the allied aviation have been put on alert.
