Slovakian PM threatens to halt deliveries of diesel to Ukraine

Slovakia’s prime minister, Robert Fico, said on Monday that the supply of diesel to Ukraine by national fuel company Slovnaft would be halted until Kyiv resumes deliveries of crude oil to Slovakia from Russia’s second largest oil exporter, Lukoil.

Hungary and Slovakia have threatened to take legal action if the European Union does not start consultations with Ukraine over Kyiv's imposition of sanctions on Lukoil and the halting of Russian oil supplies to Slovak and Hungarian refineries.
