Russian ship on fire in occupied Sevastopol, authorities cancel May 9 parade
On Sunday, in the Crimean city of Sevastopol, under Russian occupation since 2014, an attack resulted in a fire breaking out on one of the naval vessels has been reported by Ukrainian media citing Russian sources. According to the latter, the ship in question may be the rescue vessel Kommuna. Meanwhile, Sergei Aksyonov, the Russia-appointed governor of occupied Crimea, announced that, due to safety concerns, there will be no Victory Day parade nor the “Immortal Regiment” march on the peninsula on May 9, celebrated as Victory Day in Russia.
