British pop star Dua Lipa is proving herself as much a literary tastemaker as a chart-topper, urging her fans to read a book by Polish Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk.

Appearing on an American talk show, Lipa revealed her admiration for Tokarczuk’s novel ‘Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead,’ calling it “fantastic” and a must-read.

“It’s kind of a crime novel, but it has a bit of philosophy and astrology peppered into it,” she said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“The author is actually a Nobel prize laureate for literature... reading this book will really show you why.”

The singer’s literary enthusiasm has shone through in her Instagram and Service95 newsletter, a curated space for cultural recommendations.

During the show, Colbert held up the Tokarczuk novel for viewers, sparking a lively discussion about the book’s themes.
In April, Lipa recommended ‘Swimming in the Dark’ by Polish author Tomasz Jędrowski, naming it the book of the month for her book club.
