On the Record | The danger of an overstretched US disengaging from Ukraine war

Joe Biden’s decision to postpone plans to meet European leaders this week at a key summit on aid to Ukraine has laid bare an uncomfortable truth: America is disengaging from the conflict in Europe because it is overstretched and deeply divided.

That is thesis that TVP World posed during its ‘On the Record’ discussion program to Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation think tank in Warsaw, and Scott Lucas, Professor of American Studies at University College, Dublin.

The guests discussed whether or to what extent Biden’s decision serves as a warning to Europeans that the conflict in Ukraine is their existential war and that they must take muscular action to bolster Kyiv’s defenses.

‘On the Record’ airs on TVP World on Fridays at 8.30 p.m. Click on the video above to watch the latest episode.
