EU Ministers will participate in a series of working sessions in which they will discuss the enlargement process, including lessons learned from the 2004 enlargement when 10 new countries, including Poland, joined the bloc.
The Ministers will also discuss the importance of upholding the rule of law, including potential improvements to existing mechanisms as well as their effectiveness.
Additional time will be dedicated to the Future of the EU, in particular steps and reforms needed to strengthen the Union’s capacity to act. At the meeting, the Ministers will be joined by their counterparts from the current EU candidate countries.
