On May 1, Poles will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the country’s accession to the European Union. On this occasion, we were honored to be joined by Andrzej Olechowski, who served as Poland’s finance minister (1992) and minister of foreign affairs (1993-1995).
Olechowski, born in 1947, was also one of the co-founders of the liberal conservative party Civic Platform (PO) alongside the current Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He is also considered one of the key figures in Poland’s accession to the EU.
