World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka was unable to secure a third consecutive Australian Open, losing the final to Madison Keys, which consequently diminished her lead over Poland’s Iga Świątek in the WTA ranking.

The highly anticipated final of this year’s WTA 1000 Madrid Open witnessed a riveting rematch between defending champion Aryna Sabalenka and Poland’s own Iga Świątek. In a stunning display of skill and determination, Świątek emerged triumphant after a grueling three-set battle, ultimately winning with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(7).

After two days of rain the sun returned to the Miami Open on Saturday in a good omen for Iga Świątek, who launched her bid to become just the second woman to win the “Sunshine Double” more than once with a breezy 6-1 6-1 win over Italy's Camila Giorgi.
