Anduril says talks on assembling its Barracuda 500 cruise missile in Poland are nearing completion. Poland could become a production hub for Barracuda 500 cruise missiles, with talks on assembling the weapon, designed by the US firm Anduril Industries, in the country now in their final stages, company executive Brian Moran told TVP World. Moran, Anduril’s vice president for Europe, said the company is holding “deep conversations” with state-owned Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) and the Polish government. “And that's a program that would be assembled here, right here in Poland for Poland and with Poland,” he said. Moran added that the Baltic states have also expressed interest in missiles from a potential Polish production line. Autonomous warfare Moran also pointed to Anduril’s autonomous Fury combat aircraft and Thunder platform, designed to operate alongside F-35 jets and Apache helicopters. He said AI-enabled systems could act as force multipliers while keeping human operators involved in lethal decisions. The plans come as Poland’s role in Europe’s defense industry continues to expand.
