Polish students began a new academic year on Thursday with artificial intelligence increasingly shaping how they think about their studies and future careers. First-year students at Warsaw University of Technology told TVP World they were entering university hoping to gain practical experience and professional contacts, but some also voiced concerns about how automation could affect their job prospects. Management administration student Jakub said AI could eventually perform some of the organizational tasks associated with his chosen field. Others were less concerned, viewing the technology primarily as a tool rather than a replacement for workers. Izabela Grabowska, a professor at Kozminski University, said students should focus on lifelong learning and learn to work alongside AI rather than compete with it. “For students who are starting today, the most important advice is not to compete with AI but to work with AI,” Grabowska said.
