Professional drifting has taken over Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy as the 2026 Drift Masters season reaches its finale. The European series, launched in Poland in 2014, is holding its final round at the stadium on September 11 and 12, with Saturday’s head-to-head battles set to determine the champion. Qualifying runs are judged on line, angle and style before drivers advance to tandem elimination battles. The Warsaw event is the seventh and final round of the season. Drifting developed in Japan in the 1970s, drawing on circuit-racing techniques and street-driving culture before becoming an organized sport. The championship has grown from three rounds to a seven-round calendar. Driver Paweł Korpuliński says simulators offer an affordable entry point before beginners move on to drifting schools and real cars. Warsaw’s stadium has also hosted other motorsport events, and will host Formula One demonstration runs during the finale weekend. Drift Masters Vice President Arkadiusz Dudko said: “But now we are doing professional motorsport, which is approved by the FIA and this is a completely different world compared to street drifting.”
