American sprinter Sam Blaskowski says he wants to represent Poland and win medals for the country his ancestors came from. The 23-year-old, whose family has Polish roots, has emerged as one of the top sprinters in international athletics after running the 100 meters in 9.89 seconds in May. Blaskowski has spoken openly about reconnecting with his family heritage. Sebastian Chmara, the head of the Polish Athletics Association, said the federation was ready to support the sprinter’s efforts to represent Poland.
