Polish customs officers have seized nearly a ton of marijuana worth about 46 million zlotys (€11 mln) hidden in a shipment of clothes from Canada, authorities said on Tuesday. The drugs were found in 1,674 packages inside boxes of used clothing after the container was X-rayed and searched at the port of Gdynia, customs spokeswoman Justyna Pasieczyńska said. "The container was X-rayed and then subjected to a detailed inspection," Pasieczyńska said. Officers seized 945.466 kg of marijuana, which authorities valued at about 46 million zlotys (€11 mln) on the black market. The shipment was declared as clothing destined for a Polish textile company. No one has been arrested and nobody came to collect the container, authorities said. Prosecutors in Gdansk are overseeing the investigation.
