Viewed as a Zelenskyy loyalist, economist Yulia Svyrydenko was appointed to the post last July but will now be replaced in what the president described as a "renewal" of his top team to align with an "updated political strategy." He thanked Svyrydenko for her "clear, steady, and effective work as Prime Minister" and said he had offered her "the opportunity to lead a new and important area of relations with a key partner." Reports suggest she could become the next ambassador to the US. Zelenskyy said Ukraine would now assign senior officials to oversee key areas of foreign policy, including relations with the United States, the EU, Poland and Hungary, while stepping up work on weapons supplies, drone production, preparations for winter and post-war recovery.
