The 39-year-old Ukrainian national named as Anastasiia Berezovska is wanted on charges of attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent and participation in a criminal organization, Interpol said on Friday. Issuing a Red Notice for her arrest, Interpol said that the woman who was born on June 26, 1987, has dark hair, speaks German and has a tattoo, possibly of a snake, covering her right arm from the shoulder to the elbow. Monaco's Prosecutor General Stéphane Thibault confirmed on Thursday that the suspect behind the attack is a Ukrainian woman in her 30s who is registered as living in Germany. He added that an Interpol red notice had been issued for her arrest. Monaco’s Minister of State Christophe Mirmand said shortly after the attack that authorities believed it was likely an act of terrorism, adding that, to his knowledge, it was the first such attack in the principality’s history. Yermolayev’s mistress and teenage son were also wounded in the blast. Originally from the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, Yermolayev is one of Ukraine’s best-known businessmen. Ukraine imposed sanctions on him in December 2023, accusing him of continuing business activities in Russian-occupied Crimea. Once a regular fixture on Forbes Ukraine‘s list of the country’s richest people, Yermolayev later renounced his Ukrainian citizenship and acquired Cypriot nationality. Thibault said Yermolayev has lived in Monaco since at least 2021 and is not under investigation in the principality or wanted by foreign authorities.
