This year’s program drew on “The Great Play: The Opera of Ladislas IV,” a temporary exhibition celebrating court opera during the reign of the Polish king, who ruled from 1632 to 1648. Costumed performers, floral workshops, fragrance activities, historical‑fencing demonstrations and dance lessons took place across the gardens on the Vistula escarpment. The program included opera and baroque dance performances, while visitors could tour the Royal Castle and the Tin‑Roofed Palace for a symbolic fee of 1 złoty. The picnic, held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., is a recurring Royal Castle event that has drawn Warsaw residents and tourists since 2019. The Royal Castle is the historic seat of Polish kings and parliament, where the May 3 Constitution was adopted in 1791. The evening concluded with a concert by Mitch & Mitch with their Incredible Combo.
