Speaking to TVP World on Friday, Klitschko said it would have been better for Zelenskyy to attend and hold talks with Polish leaders. He said his conversations in Kyiv with residents and local authority officials had not revealed a sense of escalating tension, describing Poland as a friend and stressing that the two countries face common challenges. The conference, held in the Polish port city of Gdańsk on June 25 and 26, has brought governments, investors and international institutions together to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and investment. Zelenskyy was represented by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko after a diplomatic dispute with Warsaw over the legacy of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, or UPA, which is associated in Poland with the massacre of about 100,000 Polish civilians during World War Two.
