Warsaw Metro said its alarm systems detected the person shortly after 7 a.m., and police detained the man as he emerged near Służew station. Authorities said they were still establishing his identity and the circumstances of the incident. Ten stations in the Mokotów and Ursynów districts were temporarily closed, while trains operated only between Młociny and Politechnika. Replacement bus and tram services were introduced, with special lines running in place of the metro. Police conducted pyrotechnic, chemical and biological inspections of both tunnel tracks, assisted by a tracking dog. Officials said no injuries or damage to infrastructure had been reported. The disruption followed previous problems on the line, including a fire-related closure in July 2025. Service resumed at 10:58 a.m.
