The agreement was concluded in the city of Radom, in central Poland, between the Armament Agency, acting on behalf of the State Treasury, and Fabryka Broni “Łucznik”–Radom. The ministry said the A3 had received formal approval and technical documentation certification from the head of the Armament Agency several days earlier. Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the purchase was enabled by resources freed up in the Defense Ministry budget through the SAFE program, a cost‑saving and efficiency initiative, and portrayed the deal as evidence of support for domestic defense production. The Grot family entered service with Poland’s armed forces in 2017. According to the ministry and the manufacturer, the A3 version incorporates design changes based on soldiers’ feedback from previous models.
