TVN, one of Poland’s three main television groups, is currently part of Warner Bros. Discovery. Its ownership could change if Paramount Skydance’s proposed deal for WBD, valued at about $110 billion including debt, clears regulatory hurdles. Varga, chairman of Central Médiacsoport, said the scale of debt behind the transaction could force the merged company to sell non‑core assets. “Just looking at the numbers of Paramount, how much debt they took actually in the acquisition, I think they are probably going to sell the assets which are not core, and TVN is probably not core,” Varga said.
