The custom, observed in parts of Upper Silesia, begins near a church or roadside cross before participants ride in procession around farmland, singing hymns and reciting prayers. In some communities, riders also place crosses made from blessed Easter palms in the fields. The event, rooted in rural religious tradition, is often followed by local festivities, including horse races and games for children.
