Known as “The Record Breaker,” Sobierajski drew wider attention with his 2021 “12 Records in 12 Months” project and has since taken on a series of unusual challenges, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro barefoot. He says the upcoming attempt may be the riskiest of his career because of the possibility of serious frostbite and lasting injury. Sobierajski told TVP World that mental strength, more than physical ability alone, is what matters most in record-breaking efforts. If successful, he would complete 42.195 kilometers on ice without shoes, in what he hopes will be a first-of-its-kind achievement.
