Qatar supplies roughly 10% of Poland’s natural gas, but Orlen said cargoes scheduled for March had already passed through the Strait of Hormuz, limiting the immediate risk of disruption. The company added that none of its LNG tankers had been stranded in the Persian Gulf, and shipments could be rerouted if necessary. Poland’s exposure to supply disruptions is also reduced by its diversified gas import structure. Alongside LNG from Qatar, the country receives pipeline gas from Norway, LNG cargoes from the United States, and relies partly on domestic production. Gas storage levels remain comfortable, Orlen said, providing a buffer against potential supply interruptions and rising global gas prices.
