Zoo staff spent days combing the surrounding area and following up on reported sightings as they tried to track the elusive wild cat. Officials have not disclosed exactly where Bożenka was located or in what condition, but said she is now secure and will undergo a veterinary examination. The zoo has launched an internal investigation to determine how the animal managed to escape and whether security procedures need to be revised. During the search, the zoo urged residents to report any sightings, noting that Pallas’s cats are skilled at hiding and can quickly disappear into dense brush, outbuildings or other sheltered spaces.
