Sikorski said Europe must be represented in any talks because the stakes extend beyond Ukraine and NATO’s eastern flank to the future balance of power. He also suggested the United States could increase pressure on Russia by expanding military support for Ukraine, while warning against Washington pushing Kyiv into an unfair settlement. Europe should maintain its commitment and back Ukraine’s right to decide when to negotiate, the minister added.
