Body-camera footage from the Suffolk County Police Department shows officers carefully working to restrain the buck. They eventually looped a rope around its antlers and guided it back outside. Officers had initially been responding to a burglary alarm but instead encountered what police later described as an “unexpected intruder.” The deer was safely released, and no injuries were reported.
