Speaking on Friday, John Honeycutt, chair of the Artemis II mission, said the flight would send astronauts farther from Earth than any crewed mission before, while testing spacecraft systems in deep space. Flight director Jeff Radigan said the crew would spend about three days traveling to the Moon and roughly one day observing its far side, gathering video and data to support future lunar missions.
