The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) said a Polish importer coordinated pricing across a network of affiliated dealerships, ensuring that farmers paid identical prices regardless of where they purchased equipment from brands including New Holland and Steyr. According to the regulator, the arrangement eliminated price competition at the retail level and restricted farmers’ ability to benefit from discounts or local market differences. The ruling follows a similar case involving Claas machinery, in which UOKiK imposed fines of approximately €40 million. In both cases, the decisions are subject to appeal and can still be challenged in court.
