The meeting underscored the strategic partnership between the two NATO allies amid heightened security concerns in the Baltic region. “Our common goals concern our independence, security, shared engagements, economic cooperation, and cooperation over infrastructure. Poland and Latvia are simply united across all these matters and represent the same values,” Nawrocki said after the talks. Rinkēvičs highlighted the depth of bilateral dialogue and expressed gratitude for Poland’s military contribution to regional security. “In terms of economics and security, Polish-Latvian dialogue is at a high level. I would like to thank the Polish soldiers who are stationed at the Ādaži base as part of a multinational brigade, where they help defend our security,” he said. Following the meeting, Nawrocki visited the Ādaži base outside Riga to meet Polish troops serving in the Canadian-led NATO Multinational Brigade. The deployment is part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence, designed to deter aggression and reassure Baltic states of allied solidarity. Officials say discussions also touched on infrastructure projects and energy cooperation, as well as cultural initiatives for Latvia’s Polish community. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties within the EU and NATO frameworks.
