During a parliamentary debate, Roxana Mînzatu, Vice-President of the European Commission, said that multiple member states, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania, had seen their airspace breached in recent weeks, calling the pattern “a deliberate campaign targeting Europe.” Several lawmakers also said that there is a need to protect critical infrastructure and close the gap between existing legal frameworks and the emerging security risks posed by hybrid threats.
