The military described the operation as a breakthrough but did not disclose the targets or their locations. It added that ATACMS will continue to be used to counter Russia’s ongoing attacks. Reuters reported that Russian authorities acknowledged the missiles had been launched by Ukrainian forces. ATACMS missiles, supplied by the United States, have a range of up to 300 kilometers and offer Ukraine a long-requested boost to its deep-strike capabilities.
