Operated by Gaz-System, the project aims to enhance national energy security and position Poland as a regional gas hub supplying Central and Eastern Europe. Half of the gas could be exported on to nearby countries including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. The terminal’s completion would further reduce dependence on Russian energy as the EU moves toward a 2028 ban on Russian gas imports.
