A database malfunction temporarily disabled Poland’s 112 emergency number across several regions in the south of the country on Tuesday morning, disrupting access to critical rescue services. The outage, reported shortly after 8:00 a.m. local time, prevented some callers in Świętokrzyskie, Lower Silesia, and Opole from reaching emergency operators. The Interior Ministry said the fault originated from a database failure that also blocked access to digital maps used to track ambulance locations, slowing dispatch operations. Authorities confirmed the problem has since been resolved. While some mobile networks struggled to connect to 112, the dedicated medical emergency line 999 continued to function normally.
