A jazz vocalist, pop artist and multi-instrumentalist, Sojka first rose to fame after his 1982 debut at Warsaw’s Jazz Jamboree. Over the course of his career, he collaborated with leading figures including Michał Urbaniak and Tomasz Stańko. <br><br> Renowned for his versatility, Sojka composed, arranged and performed across genres. He also recorded the Polish version of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” for the 1995 film Toy Story. <br><br> Poland’s Ministry of Culture described his death as “a profound loss for Polish musical culture.”
