Ukraine can count on our support to deliver progress on its European path, the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday as she spoke to the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Although she praised Ukraine for its achievements on its path towards Europe, she also warned that it has to "preserve independent anti-corruption bodies," which she deemed "cornerstones of Ukraine’s rule of law."
