Denmark has announced a military aid package for Ukraine worth 6.7 billion kroner (€900 million) to help Kyiv battle Russia’s invasion.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said it was essential for his country to maintain its “massive support” for Ukraine.

The package, which will offer support for Kyiv until 2027, allocates €188 million for artillery capabilities, including the transfer of shells through allied initiatives.

Denmark will also invest €268 million in 2026 and 2027 to strengthen Ukraine’s defense industry.

Additional funds will go toward air defense systems, drone development, and IT infrastructure improvements.

This marks Denmark’s 25th military aid package since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Copenhagen has been among Kyiv’s staunchest supporters, providing weapons, training and financial assistance.

The announcement follows Sweden’s decision earlier this week to provide its largest-ever military aid package to Ukraine, worth about €1.5 billion, and Germany’s decision to provide €3 billion in military help.
